Rabbi needed for interfaith wedding, please help.
Lately I have been feeling overwhelmed with the whole wedding planning process and have left getting a rabbi for our interfaith ceremony, up to my FH.It would help us so much if some of you who have numbers for rabbi's who would be willing to marry us, would post them here for us. He called one number for a Rabbi Schwartz and was told it was no longer his number. We also have Rabbi Ehrlich's number who he plans on calling, but we would like to call a few to meet with them and then choose from there.
Please help. Thanks.

Re: Rabbi needed for interfaith wedding, please help.
I had the hardest time finding a rabbi.I am using rabbi applestone who is the rabbi for the chateau briand.. I had a hard time getting in touch with him but finally met him about 2 weeks ago and liked him alot..
Very nice man.
I also talked to rabbi erhlich on the phone and he was going to call me back with his apt book and never did. After leaving about 5 msges with him I just decided I would just go with Rabbi applestone.
I will post his number in just a few minutes

jodi and mishy
you should have emailed rabbi ehrlichhe may be away and not gotten your messages
he always called me back and I called alot
michele: BEWare; rabbi applestone wanted to charge me MORE money b/c I was a fox hollow bride
and so are you!!! I got a bad feeling from him
he told me, I am inhouse to CB only and since your a scotto bride but a fox hollow bride you are considered'OUTSIDE'
give me a break, he seemed money hungary and you are paying enough
I found him rude but judge for yourself, give me a break, CB and fox hollow are both owned by scotto bro
which means they employ him
he was wrong to do that
ESPECIALLY since I went to a perfect wedding planner seminar at fox hollow and the girl made an error and had applestones number in a slide show and that is where I got it from!!! LOL
I even called them and gina, who is no longer there said she forgot to take his number out of the show

Tammyjill..I guess it is true that they charge more when they do 'outside' work becuase rabbi erhlich wanted much more than rabbi applestone ( I am a chateau bride)
He wanted 75 dollars more becuase I was a cb bride..
I dont get it either..
*shrugs*

Applestone was $500 for my wedding last October at Coral House. I imagine his fee is about the same now. You can read my reviews if you search.Good luck!

Thanks ladies! If you have any other names and numbers, please keep them coming. Hopefully we will find someone we 'click' with soon. First we have to make that phone call though.
Thanks again.

Re: Rabbi needed for interfaith wedding, please help.
Rabbi Arthur Schwartz from Kehillath Shalom in Cold Spring Harbor will do an interfaith ceremony, but, will only allow a priest or minister to say a nondenominational prayer. He then does the rest of the ceremony alone. He's a nice man though, so if your fiance is ok with that, give him a call. He's in the yellow pages under the temple name. He will require that you go to interfaith counseling and that your children be jewish. I grew up with him, and would love to use him, but my fiance and I really want an equal representation of our families' faiths at the ceremony.Welcome New Vendors
