Does anyone know of a rabbi/priest team that performs ceremonies on Sunday mornings? I guess it must be difficult to find a priest due to Sunday mass schedules. Are most of the priests that perform interfaith ceremonies retired? Another thing, I have no idea what to say when I call/email them! Do I just ask if they are available to officiate my ceremony? I feel like such a dork-I am afraid I am going to say the wrong thing! Help! Thanks!

Re: rabbi/priest 'team' that works on sunday mornings
I am clueless too..I also need a priest/rabbi team!! But I need it for a Sunday evening, think they would do it then? FH happens to think a Rabbi would be unavailable for Sunday Night....and I am just learning as I go along...not sure on much in the jewish religion...REv Michael Callahan (a vendor on here) may be able to help!! I emailed him and got a quick response, but have not contacted him since because I was still up in the air..but definitely contact him...he will help you...he does interfaith weddings, and mayve can answer your questions about a 'team' for Sun Morning! Good Luck!

Re: rabbi/priest 'team' that works on sunday mornings
I am having a priest/rabbi 'team' for my ceremony on a Sunday morning. I really sympathize with you on this, I was so stressed about it. I was worried I was going to wind up with a 'fake' preist. Even the priest we met with at my parish wanted to make sure he knew the person, because there are a few 'ex' or 'unrecoginzed ' priests out there. You can verify your clergy person with the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
I was referred to Rabbi Robert Applestone by one of the Scotto Brothers Halls. His # is (516) 541-0114. He was really nice when we met with him. He referred us to Father Camp who is a priest (not retired) at St. William the Abbot Church in Seaford. He was so nice as well. They perform alot of weddings together so it seems like they do anice ceremony without stepping on anyones toes. I think he also works with a few other priests.
You should give the rabbi a call and just introduce yourself and say that you are having an interfaih weding and are looking for a rabbi to perform your ceremony at the hall. He was really nice- don't worry about saying the wrong thing.
If you have any questions, FM me.
