RAIN

I know it's extremely early to even check and the chances are great that the forecast will change, but it calls for rain on my wedding day.

I'm most worried about my shoes, as I had them dyed pink and they cannot get wet. I bought back up shoes just in case but I don't really like them and are not comfortable in them. I really want to wear my other shoes but don't want to risk ruining my dress and the shoes if they get wet.

I guess I need some encoragement/advice on what to do when it rains?

I'm so bummed out.

RAIN

2014er crashing. I've been thinking about this a lot because my venue has beautiful grounds that I would like to use even if it rains. I am planning on wearing Hunter rain boots (in a fun color) so I don't have to worry about my heels getting ruined. You can always switch to your heels when your reception starts. I think it will look really cute in pictures!

RAIN

It's definitely way too early to predict rain.... and I know you wanted to wear your pink shoes... but just an idea, maybe get some hot pink rainboots & a cute umbrella so you could get some cute pictures outside still. Remember rain on your wedding day is good luck!

Good idea!!!
I will be bummed to not use the grounds too if it rains.

I also saw a picture a facebook friend put up - their wedding fell on the hurricane last year and they had this CUTE monogrammed umbrella they used outside for a few pics.

RAIN

Funny you should mention this, I just had a freakout about this over the weekend. My mom went to pick up my dyed shoes for me and was advised about the whole do not under any circumstances get them wet. I had no idea about this when I bought dyable shoes and had I know I probably would have stayed away from them because who needs one more thing to worry about that day? So annoyed!!!

That being said it is still early so hopefully the weather will change. I guess if weather on my day is looking iffy I will bring a backup pair for going from the hotel to Bridgeview and for taking all my outside pics and then use my purple ones for indoor pics and of course ceremony and reception. I am really not looking to have my feet dyed purple right before a 10 day honeymoon in flip flops/sandals, ugh!

Don't worry about it! It's way to early for them to get the forecast right. I will keep my fingers cross for you and either way the day will be beautiful!!!

RAIN

2014er Crashing!!

I know this isn't helpful in regard to the shoe situation, but rain on your wedding day (despite what Alanis Morisette says) is good luck.

2014 crashing and loving your idea! I'm a big rain boot fan and I also have a big outdoor area. I don't mind rainy pictures but the boots idea tops it off :)

Well my date is only 10 days away so it's on the accuweather extended forecast.

It says sun and warmer weather today.. I'm just driving myself crazy.

I'll just hope and pray for good weather, and whatever happens, happens.

thanksk for your support and kind words everyone :)
