Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY
Don't worry - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Plus, the weather has been known to change from now until Saturday. I am one to worry about the weather - I was freaking after the almanac posting - but you know what, the almanac has been wrong from most of May and the weather is so unseasonal this year and is constantly changing. I hear so many stories about days that have not been what was predicted. Keep your chin up, don't fret, we'll all keep our fingers crossed, and have a BEAUTIFUL wonderful and loving day! No matter what the weather is!

Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY
Well, the only thing I can suggest (that's if your Catholic) see if someone has a statue of the Infant/Child of Prague. If you put it outside the night before your wedding (you can cover it in plastic baggy so it won't get ruined) It should stop the rain. I know it superstitious but it worked for my sister it rained right up to the point we needed to leave for the wedding & was sunny all through the wedding & photos! Just an idea. I'm sure there are many little objects of all different faiths that are supposed to do the same. Good Luck! I'll be crossing my fingers for good weather!

Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY - Dont Stress
I know its hard I did the same thing for a week before my wedding.
They predicted sunny and clear in the 70's. Guess What? - It Poured. We couldnt use my brothers Classic T Bird and we had the cocktail hour inside. But you know what, we are married and we had a perfect day.

Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY
my fiance's mom swears by this, put a statue of the blessed mother in the front most window of the house and it won't rain.

Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY
Do you know that if it rains on your wedding day it is supposed to bring you good luck (it rained on my parents wedding day and their 30th anniversary is the Monday before my wedding day)...they say this because when you get married it is referred to as 'tying the knot' and a wet knot is harder to untie than a dry knot...think about it have you ever tried to untie wet shoe laces? OK, I know this doesn't help much but maybe it can put a positive spin on things IF it does rain....but we will all pray for wonderful weather for you.

Not to worry! They are almost always wrong. I'm telling you, if I ever have children, they are going to be weathermen/women! What other job can you be wrong 90% of the time and still collect your paycheck? Let's see - I'm sure we can all get on TV and say 'Partly sunny, some clouds, chance of rain possible' Am I a pro or what? LOL!
I'll be crossing my fingers for you just in case. I've heard it was supposed to be nice on Sat. though. Have a great day!!!

Thank you all so much..
You made me feel so much better, like always! Today is my last day at work and I have a lot of running around to do, so I don't know if I will get to talk to you all after today, but thanks for everything, and I promise to give a FULL report when I get back.
Love you girls!~

Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY
I have been there and it was supposed to rain on my wedding day. It did - but cleared up enough that morning for outdoor shots and we didn't get rained on at all. By evening, it rained again. So we lucked out. All I can say is hope for the best and plan for the worst. If anything is planned for outdoors, as long as you have a backup plan, it will all be beautiful. And if it's just overcast, that is actually the best for outdoor shots because you aren't squinting with the sun.
Best wishes, remember no matter what happens with the weather, your day will be amazing and you will still have the time of your life with your hubby

Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY
We are going to get rain insurance for our wedding just in case it rains so that we won't be that upset if it does www.bigdayumbrella.com

Re: RAIN ON SATURDAY
Like Elizabeth, it rained (poured actually) the morning of my wedding, but miraculously the sun came out by the time I left for the church and it was like it never rained!!! For some reason, I was VERY CALM (which was pretty scary for me) about it. My mother had the rosary beads in the window and we did the whole statue thing (and every other superstitious thing there was)!!!
The point is this, at that point, you have no control over the weather, and even though it can be an inconvenience and very upsetting, it really doesn't matter in the long run because that day is going to BE WONDERFUL NO MATTER WHAT!!!! It's not going to take away from the significance of the day!!! You're marrying the man of your dreams, your soulmate and the love of your life -- everything else is just candy!!! So, having been there, please don't let it ruin your day -- relax and enjoy it!! It's going to be beautiful no matter what!!!
GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU!!!! (And whoever else is getting married this weekend!!!)
