rain on your wedding day.

Original post by SummerBride10

Alot of people seem very surprised when I say that I honestly dont care if it pours on my wedding day. I've come to accept the fact I can't control the weather (which is why I didn't choose an RH which amazing outside grounds- because then I would be dissapointed). I actually hope its very cloudy so everyone doesnt sweat like crazy.

Does anyone else not care about the weather at all (with the exception of all you winter brides- I might be worried about a snowstorm, thats understandable!) Or is it just me that doesnt really care in the least bit about rain?

I don't care what the weather is..I already asked the hall if it rains could we come back later in the week to take outside pics if we wanted..they said yes

Either way I don't care about the weather because we will be indoors mostly

I;m ok with any weather that won't prevent my guests from getting to my wedding... We have A LOT of OOTers so if it rains too hard I know there will be delays and cancellations but other than that I love the inside of The Woodlands so I'm not worried about pics. Worse comes to worse instead of getting my hair done at the hotel I'll get it done at the Woodlands to prevents any hair disasters/

I wouldn't care if it rains that's why I picks the end of Nov. I hate the heat. I am wearing my hair up because I plan on sweating on the dance floor. I also plan to take pics with an umbrella, rain or shine. This is the day we will be big kids and not care about anything.

I hate the rain, so it would bother me. And I really want outdoor pics

It would only upset me because WM has beautiful gardens that we plan to take all our pics in. I actually don't want it to be super sunny though i would actually like it to be overcast becuse pics come out better that way

I really, really don't want it to rain while we are taking pics, because my RH has such beautiful grounds. If it's raining, everyone is going to be cold & wet and my hair is going to get crazy.

That being said, I do not care if it rains the rest of the day. It needs to be nice out from approx 5:00-6:30, then it can rain.

ETA: I am taking that back. We have outdoor areas (there are outdoor heaters) at our RH, so that people can go in & out through the night. Sooo I guess after 5PM, I do not want any rain!

I am hoping for no rain. We are not getting married in a church and looked for a location with awesome grounds because of it. I hoping for good weather.

I'm just not going to think about it. If it rains, that means you'll have good luck through-out your marraige. Then again, I think this is something to tell brides to make them feel better.

It's not that I don't care, because I would be upset if it rains, BUT I do know it's the 1 thing I cant control, sooooo whatever happens happens.
buttt also, some of those wedding pics with rain in the background or the bride carrying an umbrella do turn out really cute!
We also picked based on the inside of the RH because we dont know what it will be like!!! :)

i will be upset if it rains on our wedding day. however i know i can't control the weather so we will make the most of it. i have seen some really beautiful pictures when its raining. i am going to purchase some inexpensive umbrellas just in case.

Not gonna lie... I will die if it rains on my wedding day. I chose October because it is the driest month in New York... I am pyscho obsessed with tracking the weather to see if it rains haha.

Without a doubt....I will be totally pissed if it rains!! I want my day to be perfect, and to me, rain is not perfect. I want to take beautiful pics in the gardens at Westbury Manor.

I know I cant control the weather, and I will get over it if it rains..but I will be disappointed.

I hate to admit it but I am VERY concerned about the weather. I dont want it to rain bc I really want my ceremony outside and I dont want my hair and makeup to be ruined. My hair is curly so if it rains I will end up looking crappy in pictures

As much as I want to say it wouldn't bother me It most definately will.

There is a plus side to it though. Rain on your wedding day means fertility (so I've heard)

You can't control the weather so it is one thing I don't want to stress over. I would love for it to be beautiful but if it's not what am i going to do about it!!!
