I wouldn't get involved AT ALL!!! Who needs the stress is right!! Go on and be your happy selves, and indulge in your happiness. Seriously.....If they can't work things out amongst themselves, before having to seek professional help, they have serious problems. Let em know that your no longer getting involved.

I agree with Mel.

You have your own problems to worry about. Taking on someone elses is just unhealthy right now.

Yeah we did. We told them they really need to grow and do the rightthing and just get help. It s not a bad thing and they wouldnt be the 1st couple or the last that would seek counceling to learn how to communicate. We told them not to call us anymore for help unless they seek help. I cant help but feeling bad ( thats just in our nature) just we feel like we turned our backs to them but i guess we just need to let them be. Right!?

YOu didn't turn your back on them.

You did them a favor. They, too, are adults, and need to learn to deal with their problems. By doing this to them, they are going to need to figure things out on their own. There won't always be someone there for them to talk to or work things out with. The problem is between the two of them. By always helping them out and working through their problems, You enable them to keep doing this because they know they can rely on you and FH when push comes to shove. You were hindering them. Now you're helping them.

Marriage isn't always peachy. So they need to learn to work through the good times, and the bad, together, and on their own. (or with a counselor)

Good Job Penny!

Sorry sweetie. Maybe you should just tell them that you love them and you hope that they get through this but you just can't get involved anymore. It's too draining. HTH.

I agree.
