RALPH LAUREN GALLERY RED..FURNITURE COLOR?

For my dining room I want to buy this set and the color is merlot Will it go with the walls being Gallery Red by RL... if you dont know what color that is its very deep red..

(I want it to be dark and have candle sconces on the walls and a candle chandleir)

Suzanne - did you paint yet? If not, I just wanted to warn you about the RL paint - it is AWFUL We just tried it in our kitchen, and even with a tinted red primer, the color came out HORRIBLE The coverage was simply awful and we were so disappointed.

We ended up with a Sherwin Williams paint in a similar color...see my post re: my kitchen.

That is so my dream too !!! I love a red wall and dark furniture. Go for it. You can always paint again if you don't like it !!

We painted the room and the color is GREAT.. claud i read this after we painted but your right I would NEVER use RL paint again.. it felt like i was painting with DRY paint.. i forced my way through it and the room looks great but it was no easy task,.,

Ugh, what a headache! But, I'm so happy for you that it turned out really well!!!! Can't wait to see the pics!!
