Random - anyone take ballroom dance lessons?

I'd like to go in either NYC or Westchester and somehow not spend a million dollars. I used to go to Arthur Murray on Long Island and I want to do a mix of private and group lessons.
Any places to suggest? Would you also please tell me the rates, too, if you know them? (for just one person - DH doesn't dance at the same level).

I was considering taking ballroom at the Scarsdale Adult school with 2 friend couples that are practicing for their weddings, but I think it is couples only & not private lessons. If you have experience, it probably isn't for you.

There is an Arthur Murray on Central Avenue, near Pizzeria Uno.

ETA- There is also one on Mamaraneck Avenue in White Plains.

FH and I are taking lessons at ARthur Murray in White Plains - and his sister took them there alone - group and private. Peter there is great. We were also able to work out the price with them - you can totally bargain if you don't agree to the first price they say. Good luck!

My FH and I went to Arthur Murray last month. It was $200 for for 5 half hour beginner lessons where they teach a variety of dances. To continue they wanted $1500 to learn 3 dance styles with a combination of one hour group lessons, individual lessons and 'dance parties'. For one dance style they told us it would be $700. I recommend just doing the beginner lessons, it gave my fh and I more confidence dancing. We just don't have the time or money to continue with the lessons.

I was going to suggest Arthur Murray. But, why not try the 92nd Street Y in the city?? You can do a search for them on google.

I'm an intermediate level ballroom dancer but thanks for the suggestion.
