Random - How many car accidents have you been in?

How many car accidents have you been in during the course of your life? Were they your fault?

Hmm ... once I had someone at a red light decide to try to come across my lane and the back of his van banged up my front drivers side. I also think it was a scam, I was in a not so great neoghborhood and I was late for my GYN appt and just wanted to get on the Grand Central.

I think I tapped someone from behind once at a light and maybe two years ago, I had to stop short in front of the church on Post Ave in Westbury and the guy behind me didn't stop so good and his front end went under my Jeep.


Oooh - I just remembered I was in what I would actually consider an accident on the BQE ... we were in my boyfriend's Subaru (I think like five of us crammed in it) - geez, it was probably 1988. I don't really even know what happened - all of the sudden we were turned around, drivers side was smashed and all the glass was broken. Nobody was hurt though.

In one week I will be at my two year mark from my last accident (knock on wood) so my insurance will go back down

I've had 2 - one was a side-swipe at the mall (someone was double parked and I thought I could make it throught the tight squeeze!)

The 2nd - I was heading over 347 and the traffic was backed up. It is hard to explain but this lady in a mini-van ran right into the side of me! She then started yelling at me (biatch!) - and I was just sitting there crying cause I have an unnatural attachment to my car

I've been in one car accident!!

Last year for Valentine's day I went to get some 'sexy but classy' pictures professionally taken for my FH!
I went to pick them up at the mall, and took my mother's car. The parling lot was real icy and still full of mountains of snow. As I was leaving, some a** h**e flew right into the side of me. He repositioned his car to make it look like my fault (the nerve) and started yelling at me 'what were you thinking'. I was in shock!! and luckily I didn't say a word. He kept saying 'it was totally your fault, but I am willing for you to just pay me $200 for damages and not go through insurance.'
I was like...yea right.
The cops came (finally after 2 freakin hours) and come to find out, his car just came out of inpounding cause he had just turned 21 and was able to get his car back after getting an under-age DWI.
That was my first, and hopefully my last.
Oh, and the pics were worth it!

One and thankfully it wasn't my fault.

I was on the GWB in bumper to bumper traffic and the guy behind me, hit my car into the car in from of mine, bumping that guy into the care in front of him.

I filed a police report because I had the most damage, blah blah blah, and I am so grateful for it because the first guy in the line of the 4 cars, the old, old man with the least amount of damage sued us all 3 years later for one million dollars. I gave a deposition last year and destroyed his case, greedy old *******. He fled the scene and it said it on my report.

I've been in 3 and only 1 was my fault.
My first this lady came out of nowhere and plowed right into me. I was without my car for over a month.
My second a STUPID limo driver ripped off my bumper and kept going...I had to chase the (bleep) down thru LaGuardia Airport parking lot to get info...Reason I refuse to give Royalty Limo any business...
My third and final was with a guy...I literally tapped him and he tried suing me...he had a $5 scratch on his truck, but somehow got $500 for repairs...Oh and $30,000 for medical. BS! My insurance company even agreed it was a BS claim, but they paid out because he had doctors reports, etc and said if it went to court he could have possibly rec'd more than my limit. Oh...and a nice thing he mention was his Fiancee...I'm assuming my insurance paid a part of his wedding.

I rear ended a taxi once, then another time, I was hit by an 18-wheeler without the rig, just the cab of the truck....yeah, then he took off (ba$tard!!!)

That was, by far, the scariest moment of my life....18 wheeler vs. honda civic

I hit someone once as I was driving out of Roosevelt Field Mall - some chick decided to ignore the THREE stop signs and drove right in front of me - so I hit her. Scary scary stuff!

Knock wood. I personally was never in one where I was driving....I was in a NUMBER (at least 5) with boyfriends that were driving.....

Knock on wood... the only accident i've been in was with my mother driving. And it was minor - we slipped on wet leaves and crashed into a stop sign/tree.

No 13+ ers! My cousin has been in at least 13 accidents - she had her license revoked 3 times!
