So a lot of weddings I've been to, you have to make your entree selections on your rsvp card. None of the venues I looked at have mentioned that. Is that something you choose to do or does the venue tell you if you have to do it? I'm wondering if it can help get meals out quicker if we ask people to make their selection before hand (though I'm not even sure if my RH allows this). I know, random thought for almost 10:00 at night on a Sunday! lol

random menu question...
I have never had to do that attending a wedding on LI. Upstate or other states I have had to.

Re: random menu question...
The reason they ask on the cards is mainly for a count of how much food to have. Once everyone sits down in the dining hall they still have to ask what people ordered or they have to read it off of the escort cards.
It depends on what your RH prefers.

Re: random menu question...
I was under the impression that doing this would reduce the cost per head since the RH would have a better idea of how much of each entree they should have readily available...I don't think that it would enable the food to get out quicker, since the waiter still needs to come around and take the food order (even though it had been indicated on the response card)
