Re: random question
hmmm...I'm not sure of your question b/c of the way you phrased it. I'll try to answer the best I can based upon my own experience. When you become pregnant, your blood volume increases significantly, in order to ensure a sufficient blood supply to the fetus. After the baby is born, your body has to get rid of most of the 'extra' blood, and that is what happens for about 2-3 weeks after the birth. In some cases, this process could take longer, as many women have bleeding for about 6-8 weeks after the baby's birth. It gradually lessens over the weeks until it stops completely.
However, your regular monthly visit from Aunt Flow can be delayed by breastfeeding, and it is very common that a new mom won't have her period until several months after she stops nursing.

Wow, we have so many nice things tolook foward too!
I hate my period for 4 days, nevermind possibly 4 weeks (or more), but I am sure it will be SO worth it!

Re: random question
It's not your period, per se but you do bleed. Mine lasted for about 4 weeks. FYI, if you overdo it, you will bleed more and longer. There were some days where I felt good, was on my feet too much and tried to do too much lifting - and then I was sorry. Worst part is you can only wear pads. I felt like I was 15 again. But really, it's no big deal in the end - all that stuff just doesn't matter when the result is so wonderful.
