at lunch one day with just my fmil (never again, btw) she asks who is going to do the church readings. so i answer, my aunt and one of fh's cousins, fmil niece. let me replay:
fmil: oh, you're asking maryanne? (fh's cousin) me: yes. fmil: oh, b/c she gets really nervous about stuff like that me: well ok, if we ask her and she says no b/c she'll be too nervous, well deal with that here it comes:
fmil - oh, well, i hope she doesn't have a seizure.

I have another:
FMIL had just come back from a wedding and the favor was one of the oil crafs (sp?) and 4 dishes so that you can dip the bread in the oil and spice..ya know what I mean??? Anyway, FMIL is going on and on and on about how wonderful the favors are. She asks me what I think of them and I tell her that they are very nice, but a bit over the top for a simple favor..she says to me 'well then maybe you should consider changing your favor and getting something more expensive'...errrggg!!! THANKS FOR THE TIP...why dont you reach into your pocket and give us some help with that????

And yet another....
FMIL has made it very clear that she does not want any of our e-pics or a wedding album. So the other day she comes home and starts jokingly asks me and FH if we want a pic from her school photo (shes a teacher). I smirk and politely decline. FSIL walks in and says 'well, thats foul. You dont even want a picture of your own mother??' ***!!!??? Maybe she should consider taking AT LEAST one of our e-pics!!??

Right before Christmas, FMIL gave us a generous engagement gift. Then at Christmas, she apologized for our gifts (they were nice gifts too!) and stated that she just spent a lot of $$ and they were tight for cash!

My FMIL made a comment on my flower girls dresses, she said the one I picked was alittle to pricey and that it wouldn't be fair for the FG's mothers to pay. First of all, they shouldn't volunteered for the daughters to be in my BP. May I remind everyone, I was never asked only my FH was asked. That annoyed me because I get to choose who is on my side of the BP. I wanted to tell my FMIL that, its to damn bad I get to choose the dresses not them or her. She even had the nerve to view cheapier dresses for them. UGHHHHHHHH

Hi guys, You had me hysterical laughing.. and I was bitching to my FH about how my FMIL and FSIL have not even sent us an engagement card, while my family and friends have been sending cards and thoughtful gifts. It is sooo aggravating.

OK, have all of you beat...
my FMIL wants me to wear her wedding dress for our wedding... and not the dress from her first wedding, or even her second. no, she wants me to wear the dress she wore to marry her 3rd husband... which my FH has already seen as well as the rest of the family...
