random statements made by FMIL

this'll be good for a laugh

at lunch one day with just my fmil (never again, btw) she asks who is going to do the church readings. so i answer, my aunt and one of fh's cousins, fmil niece. let me replay:

fmil: oh, you're asking maryanne? (fh's cousin)
me: yes.
fmil: oh, b/c she gets really nervous about stuff like that
me: well ok, if we ask her and she says no b/c she'll be too nervous, well deal with that
here it comes:

fmil - oh, well, i hope she doesn't have a seizure.

WHATTTT????? woman, why would you even say that.....

i swear sometimes....

I have SO many of these saved up in my head that I cant even spit them all out...here is one that I was annoyed with...

FH brings our e-pics over to show her and she says...of all things...NOT, 'oh they came out great'....or 'I love them'...instead she says...

'why did you take so many???'

Needless to say, she isnt ordering any for herself....

Maybe you can pick hunter green as your color, so [insert FSILs name here] can wear the BM dress that she wore to [cousin]'s wedding again! That dress looked so great on her.

Dont even get me started on this one. Both FMIL & FFIL are in a class all by themselves. I just started venting to my mom how horrible they both are, and the unimaginable things that come out of both of their mouths. Its amazing. I can go on & on, so believe me, I can relate to the crazy things some of these people say. I sit & wonder all the time how my FH didn't grow up to be like them. I wonder & then I thank GOD!

She never learned how to read the registry - NOTHING had been bought for us at that point and she told everyone that nothing was left to buy.

I wanna share...

I show FMIL the china we picked out (wedgwood - cornucopia) and then the glasses that look really nice with it waterford Marquis - Hanover Gold... she said beautiful on the China, but then on the glasses 'you know Marquis is the lower end of waterford, but that's fine' blah blah blah.. but every time she askes if we have made that our final decision on the glasses she has to state, you know 'Marquis is the lower end of Waterford, but that's ok' or 'that's fine'... Uggggggg, so annoying and offensive!

I am suprised she has not gone out and picked out our crystal for us yet! (and she wonders why i dont want to show her stuff!!!)
