do you girls think that vendors base what they charge you on the 'status' of your reception hall?
like they assume you have more/less money bc of where you're having your wedding?

I don't think so. Most vendors are smart and know that brides shop around, talk to other brides, and are likely to post here comparing prices.
Really honest, reputable vendors will not do that.
When we negotiated with vendors, though, I never told them what we do for a living (b/c they'll assume we're made of money and want to spend it all on them) and I tried to hide my e-ring. I didn't want them negotiating less with us because they thought we could afford it.
We really didn't run into any problems, though.

I wouldn't be surprised. I worked for the planning and development department of a very huge company, which I won't say the name of, and they adjusted the prices of their product according to the average financial income of the people in the various areas.

I don't think so. Most of them have their prices posted or printed down somewhere.

I think so......depends on the vendor....I felt that way with flowers BIG TIME, so annoying........Although it could just have been my paranoia

Funny you say this…..I felt the same way with some of the florists I saw….. Not the one I choose but a few
