Rant

Re: FMIL Rant

That is BS- if I were spiteful I would look around for that dress in the most expensive price as opposed to the least expensive.

I didn't get upset when my MIL went to look for her dress but she did ask me what color I would prefer. I understood why - she lives in PA and I'm here in NYC...

But anyhow maybe express to your FMIL that this was something that you were looking forward to doing. I think she might have been just excited about the wedding and also jumped the gun on getting something- was it at least a decent dress??

Anyhow what I would do with regards to her asking about the wedding plans- is this (not to be nosy) because they are helping to pay for it?
I had a aunt that sounds just like your FMIL and I told her (each time she asked about the plans) that I would like some things to be a surprise and would rather not say what the plans were. Tell her she'll have a better time at the wedding not knowing every detail of the day.

Sorry to hear this.

My suggestion- Look around for the dress and find prices. Then let her know the 'best price' you found, but have that price actually be more expensive than the real best price. She can't complain to FH because you did look for it, and if she had been given a lower price just show her the sites that had a higher price than what you gave her. Opps, you missed the cheaper sites. Wish you had more time to do a thorough search but it being so close to the weeding and all.....

Wow! That is sooo mean! I wouldn't help her at all! She should have her daughter look for her! Doesn't she realize you have 1,000 other things to do!

the nerve!

hey date twin

At least your fmil has found something she likes - I don't think mine has even begun to seriously look (strangley enough I no longer care or really think about it -- MY mom will look fabulous and that's all that matters to me)

If I were in your shoes I wouldn't bother trying to research a better price. I would just tell her she already found the best deal.

I hate to sound so mean but people are really pissing me off lately and I am so sick of their crap
