So, after FH told me to 'go ahead' and order the invitations that I liked (he didn't say that he hated them at the time, but they wouldn't have been his first choice). . .he tells me AS THE ORDER IS IN UPS HANDS WAITING TO BE DELIVERED THIS WEEK that he hated them. BUT if they're already on the way, don't cancel the order and he'll 'live with it.' UGH!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm feeling like I should lay out more money to correct this 'mistake.'
Why are men so difficult sometimes??? Why do they change their minds after the deed is done????
So. . .do I order brand new invitations or do we just stick with these?

Re: RANT!!!!!!
He said they were okay, but he didn't love them and they weren't his first choice. However, he eventually realized that I loved them, so he said 'just go ahead.' NOW, after I was talking about how I had to order more since we're adding a few more names to the list (yay, FMIL adding MORE people. . .but at least FH put his foot down and told her that I was cutting my friends to make room for hers, so I got those friends back on the list). . .that's when he tells me. He said, 'Fine, just keep them,' but not without me feeling guilty about it!!!!!!!!!! (He didn't make me feel guilty--it's in my nature to just instantly feel guilty about a mistake.)

Re: RANT!!!!!!
Stick with the one you already bought- It is not like he is really going to look at them anyway.

Re: RANT!!!!!!
I think that's what I'm going to wind up doing.
He has been extra loving today after we had that disagreement, so maybe there is a benefit after all. . .

Re: RANT!!!!!!
Stick with them. He needs to learn to say what he means and mean what he says.... That only happend once with FH and once he saw that I wasn't going to jump to change things just because he wasn't clear, it never happend again...

Re: RANT!!!!!!
He's usually pretty good at speaking his mind when it comes to joint decisions. . .I don't know why he wasn't as definitive with me about this one!!!
I have to go on the other computer later to post a picture, but if you do a search of my name on the '09 board, I've posted them a couple of times.

Re: RANT!!!!!!
I would leave them. Address the being honest in the future. Sometimes I have the same problem. FH is ok with something but he may have a different opinion and doesn't voice it till later. Now I make sure I get his opinion first before I voice mine. Tell FH that people just throw the invites out anyway. No need to waste any money on it.
Ok...and I searched and I searched....you post too much!!! I think these are your invites....I love them!!
He came to that realization this morning--that people just throw them out anyway. I also told him that if we would have gone with somebody a little fancier like Tessa, there would be the risk of paying more than we can afford for the invites.
He doesn't like brown lettering (our names are in brown). . .that was really his ONLY complaint.

Re: RANT!!!!!!
I'm glad things smoothed over for you...FH is kind of doing the passive/agressive thing with me on the invites too, but I think eventually they all give in when it comes to stationary!

Re: RANT!!!!!!
Definitely stick with them... I dont know why men all of a sudden come up with opinions that they never cared about in the past.

Re: RANT!!!!!!
Seriously. He's told me the only things he really cares about having a say in are the RH (which he played a MAJOR part in) and the honeymoon. He said he trusts my decision with everything else, and now things worked out with the invites.
