Breathe

Some people have nothing better to do than compete with people. I am in a similar situation and just ignore it.

breathe hun!!! one of FH's close friends is getting married a week before us!! we announced our wedding in june '07.. and they picked a date in dec.. one would consider a close friend's wedding before doing something like this.. but it's all good..

coming from personal experience...when two people get married so close together it is very easy for it to become almost a competition....if that makes sense......execially if the person is insecure about the decisions they have made....thought I def learned to just be upfront about it...Let her know whats going on ....and how you feel

I broke out into a sweat after I wrote that!
Thanks for telling me to breathe, I needed that, I was so heated , my coworker asked me why my face is red.

I am glad to see that I am not the only girl experiencing this

I guess I am just disappointed in her because she normally is such a wonderful friend . I think I need to have a talk with her , because I don't want to end up really resenting her

Just b/c she is doing things differently than you doesnt mean she has the right to be rude...thats her opinion. Obviously you feel you are doing things the better way b/c that is what you want. I would just frankly state your opinion the next time she goes on one of her speeches and that should shut her up...

I'm sorry...that stinks. And for what its worth, your wedding wont be cookie cutter!!!

I dont know why people feel the need to do this...maybe she feels like you are both going through the same thing at the same time, so she can talk to you about it? Does she always feel the need to build herself up by critizing others?

Your right about it not being cookie cutter because we heart the royalton lol , but to an extent ALL wedding are similar to some degree. My friend who is a DJ said it best when he said: all girls want their wedding to be unique and special and it is to them, but take it from me who has been to over a 1000 , they are all the same AND at the end of the day ,no one cares about your favors , flowers ect as you do , so just do what makes you happy.

You are right about us going through the same thing and I LOVE that we can talk about our weddings , BUT the comparison is just not my style, I am not a competative person and she is
