RANT - how hard is it to come up with a guest list?

RANT - how hard is it to come up with a guest list?
I asked FH to ask his parents for a list for their side, it's now MONTHS, still no list.. the invites needs to go out soon, I need to know how many to buy... If I don't get a list soon, nobody is invited from their family!

Getting a completed list was a nightmare!!! I just sent out the envelopes today to be addressed and I STILL am missing some people!! Oh well, they'll just be hand written! You need to stay on their a s s though about it

i know how you feel my FH parents didnt give it to me till abou the middle of feb!!! i wanted to send the invites out in jan!!!! I was so pissed off and I am still pissed off

MINE WAS NOT THAT BAD WE DID THE SAVE THE DATES AND CAME UP WITH THE GUEST LIST THEN, NOW WE FINALIZED IT AND ADDED
TRUST ME WE HAD HUGE ARGUMENTS OVER IT, BUT IT HAS FINALLY WORKED OUT

That's so funny, I just posted about this on the BHB board. I can't get all of the info that I need not to mention that the info that I do have is in like 20 different places. I need to get my envelopes addressed!!! My RSVP date is May 2nd!!! I think that I am officially starting to freak out!

I know! It took months to get one from the FILS - and now my mom is having difficulties finalizing hers. I already had to order invites by guestimating how many would be invited - I hope I have enough

I was lucky since my FH brother got married recently, I had a list. I dealt with my guest list issues when I was planning my engagement party. So my wedding list was the only thing I got done early.
Perhaps, call FMIL and arrange for a meeting to draft the list. Sometimes it is better to do it with them so you learn who the people are. and get the correct info.

I feel the pain . I got better faster results when I asked for it directly. The first few times I went thru FH and he probably beat around the bush. I finally said, I need the list to order the invites. If I dont have it next weekend I am ordering what I think I need and if I dont have enough I will get some extras from the dollar store to send to your family. She was speechless. Within 2 days I had my list. Have to say it is half a$$ but at least I got 70 percent of the info.

I feel your pain. FH was supposed to have his list completed BEFORE Thanksgiving. I got the last address from him TODAY!!
