I think I am...I've self-diagnosed myself!!!! Only within the past 2 years
Anytime I get bit...within 2 minutes wherever I was bit SWELLS up like ALOT and it stays swollen (depending upon the area) and itchy for about a week. It drives me crazy! I went to a party on Saturday night and got 6 bites. My left foot and left shoulder didn't swell up but my right shin is soo swollen and so is by my left shoulder blade on my back. They keep getting itchy...not consistently but when they itch I keep-a-scratchin

Same thing happens to me when I get bitten, it swells and its gets really itchy. I dont think I am allergic, that just happens to alot of peole, its normal

Go to your doctor, they may just gicve you rx strength benedryl but someone@ work just had a scare w/ bees, she now carries an epi-pen

last year i got bit by a horsefly at the beach and my whole leg swelled up and it felt like i pulled a muscle and could barely walk! when i went to the doctor they said I was 'allergic to bug bites.' I get the same thing as you though, HUGE welts when i get bit by anything and they last forever. I have found NO relief. My doctor's suggestion...stay out of buggy situations..some help he is! now i religiously apply bug spray before i'm outdoors, so nerdy but it helps a lil!! haha

I'm soo allergic to mosquito bites. I haven't been diagnosed by a dr. though. Seriously, I could be with a group of people and I will be the only one that is bitten. I religiously spray myself with bug spray before I go outside @ night especially if it rained that day. When it's muggy and damp, the mosquitos are rampant. My bites get so huge, swell up and look like giant bruises. Take benadryl, put ice to the bites and calamine.

I get the same way! I hate mosquitos! The other day there was one in my apartment and I seriously was up until 220 am hunting for the mosquito..I had to do anything outside at night in the summer because I don't want to get bit!!!!

YES!! I get steroid shots at the hospital to keep the swelling down it gets so bad. Usually I just bathe myself in repellent before I do anywhere, but occasionally I have to go to the hospital because my whole arm or leg will swell up!! It happens especially with those green flies too!

I swear if I'm in a backyard with 50 people the mosquito will come and hunt me down, lol. I swell up soooo bad...and I'm bad b/c I wanna scratch so bad but it can leave a permanent mark after the swelling goes away. Usually if I take Allegra before I know I'm gonna be outside for a long period of time, that helps.

Wow great advice from your doctor lol....that really *****. I'm bad I never use bug spray so I don't know what works and what doesn't...what bug spray do you use?

I think I'd rather swell than go get a shot I'm terrible with shots.
And those green flies are the worst cause they pinch so badly when you get bit. At least mosquito bites you can't feel (although I've felt one or two).

I'm just like that, the bite gets huuuuuge! And the thing is, I could deal with getting bitten on my body, but they seem to love biting my face, i've gotten bitten on my top lip before and within a couple of hours, it was like 4 times the size of my bottom lip! I looked like a monster....and once I got bitten near my eye, and it swelled so much that my eye stayed shut for a few days....I just hope and pray something like this doesn't happen right before my wedding...that would be a nightmare....so I definitely feel your pain!

my bug bite on my arm just went away from 3 weeks ago... (yeah i scratched but still)
i use off bug spray... in the plastic green bottle... it REALLY works
BUT if you spray near nailpolish it will RUIN it. (feet or hands obiviously)
but it REALLY works.. unfort any area that is NOT sprayed i get bit on and swell up...
also if i do get bit... if i take benedryol (real or CVS brand) right away it also reduces the swelling... it still swells BUT not to 4times the normal sixe of ur body part.

I was more alergic when I was younger and bites would blow up to like 6 inches wide!

the same thing happens to FH!!! and this has only happened recently to him as well. it swells up, the swelling is huge and it lasts for a couple days.. maybe these are mutant mosquitos!
