Love your MOH's reponse. Dont let them bully you. We did the same thing for our invites no date unless it is a long term relationship, or a spouse. We also did 21 and over which I am sure I will hear about.

we are almost doing 21 & over. we allowed my cousin who is a bm & she's 16 and than someone's daughter from FH's side who is 16. that's it lol. hopefully we don't have problems with anyone trying to bring kids.
the dates nonsense so far I haven't heard anything else after I put up a status on FB how unless it says & guest that means no date lol. I'm dreading rsvps if anyone puts someone on them..... they are gonna learn what a bridezilla is lol.
btw people giving trouble are people who were my brother's BFFs when he was alive. I invited them out of respect plus I've known them for years. I'm not super close to any of them and it was rude of them to even ask. people should be happy they are invited esp not being super close to me.

don't people look at envelopes? my MOH was like you left an option of how many people on the RSVP and how I did it wrong.
I don't even see how I did it wrong and just because it says an option of how many doesn't mean people should assume hey I can bring 6 people! lol.

216 it holds max. I don't want exactly 216 in there either. but no one I know seems to understand that. they just wanna invite everyone. the guest list has become the most annoying part of the wedding.
I was arguing with my mom how no more people she was like well not every person will say yes. I was like you don't invite all these people and hope they say no lol. I'm already anxious that if every person says yes it'll be 215.
though I would think family members I haven't seen since I was 5 probably won't wanna come especially living down in va/florida. at least I hope so. people can't be dying to go to my wedding that badly lol.

It seems like your wedding is the wedding of the century.
It told both of my parents that there was a limit to who they could invite because we have a bigger guest list then what we would want. I barely invited any friends bc of all of the obligation invites.

This whole guest list saga is just insane. I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of this. I don't understand why people think its ok to just ask if you can bring another person, or even worse, assume you can. I would never do this to a bride, it adds so much stress.

I hope people start **** with me.. I am not inviting my own brother with a date because he is not in a relationship.. Dare them to say something..
No one should question who you want in your wedding. and I agree if not having a date is so imporatnat then just respond no don't come..
I also prefered to go to weddings alone then bring a 'boyfriend' you have more fun alone with friends then worrying about if your date is getting along with everyone. Even my MOH who has been dating a guy for about a year and I just met him told me she doesnt want to bring him to the wedding cause she doenst want to baby sit him she wants to have fun

We have 2 exceptions to the 21 & over also, and one of those is my flower girl. Its crazy the horror stories I have been hearing about invitations, and having to chase people down for responses. My friend had to call over 100 people who did not respond at all thats why I already sent my invites out. Its all in an attempt to cause me as little stress as possible. Dont freak out though I am sure it will all work out, and that you will have plenty of room & a beautiful day ;)

I don't even mind the asking. but to sit there & go on & on. I was like there is no more room! then her going on & on how her brother loves me & my family. like loving me & my family isn't going to make the room magically expand lol. and hearing how upset people are about not being allowed to bring dates & omg so badly she wanted me to meet her new bf lol. my bff got married in OCT I saw her maybe 5 mins. so really like I care if I get to meet someone's new bf in the 2 secs I have to talk to her? lol. I hope all the people whining just don't come if it's that big of a problem. I just hope they don't start rsvping with dates and I have to go be like um no. I have enough going on I don't have time to go harass people and be like don't you dare bring a date lol.

it still never ends! sometime this morning my friend left me a message how he gave up finding a date so he'll be alone. I was like um you weren't allowed to bring a date anyway!! lol
