OK, I am so upset!!

I was supposed to have my epics with them on Monday. They said that they would call and confim my appt and they would give me all the details (where to meet, time, etc.) Well, Monday came and no phonecall. I called the office at 3pm but they're closed. Their answering machine has a pager number so I paged someone as well as left a message on the machine. Never got a phonecall back.

Tuesday morning, I call the photgrapher and they act so casual about it. 'Oh, you never showed up'. I told them they were supposed to confirm...they said they never said that. They asked for our cellphone number so they could call us if there was ever a problem.

So, we rescheduled for today at 7pm. They said there would be no confirmation this time...just meet them at 7pm down by the gazebo in Npt. park. Fine. We show up at 6:50...and wait until 7:45...no photographer. We call the office and again no one is there. We leave them a message and page them as well. Still, no phonecalls back.

No one ever called me at home or called our cellphone to say they would be late or couldn't make it.

I am so upset...this is the photographer that is going to do my wedding. How can I possibly believe that he's going to show up the day of my wedding??

Now, my wedding is just about 2 months away and I am never going to find a decent photographer that is available.

Am I over reacting, or is this just extremely poor customer service??

Whatever it is...I don't recommend that anyone use them. If they can't even show up to a small engagement photo shoot...how are they going to get a wedding right???

Post this on the vendor board and see if a photographer responds.
I'd dump these people in a minute and try to get a refund!!!Let us know what happens!

I agree with Jenn....I totally would not use them. Obviously they do not need your business to do this to you!! YES, post on vendor board and see if any photogs are available, you never know.

Just wanted to give you an update:

photographer just called and said he 'forgot'. He said he was extemely sorry and can we reschedule asap.

Of course I told him I was extremely upset and he understood and just continued to apologize.

I'm still very uneasy about this whole thing. Not sure I want to post on the vendor site and deal with a million phonecalls from photographers.

I am so sorry that you have to go through this! You pay these people a lot of money to do what they are supposed to do and they have this kind of attitude?

Maybe you can get some additional things out of them for all the inconvenience they caused you. That's the least they could do.

Fight for something - sounds like you really deserve it. I just booked my photographer TODAY after being VERY indecisive about lots of people I met, and my wedding is a little less than 4 months away. But now that Iwaited till I found the 'one', i feel very comfortable. (Sort of like a husband find!) Good luck with whatever you decide - just feel comfortable.

I booked Photos by Verdi and they are simply wonderful. It's a husband and wife team, and I know they check the vendor boards. They are VERY reasonable and their albums are coffee table books that you'll look at for the rest of your life. IF you want the nitty gritty - address, phone, e-mail, just drop me a line.
