RB age

RB age

Is 2 years old too young to be a RB? I really want my nephew in the wedding. On my wedding day, he will be almost 2. Our FG is my FH's niece. She will be 4 in August.

My nephew was 2 when he was in my brother's wedding. I think its fine as long as you have someone who can carry him down, since that's probably how it will happen! :)

It really depends on the child. Children can be unpredictable. My FH's 4 year old (he will be at that time) nephew is not mature enough to do it so we didn't ask him to do it.

You have to ask yourself how he'll behave when it comes time to walk down the aisle. Will he be too shy and freak out? Everyone will be staring at him. For some children this is not a problem.

Good luck

My rb will be 4 and 1/2 when I get married.. he is the coolest little boy.. he has such a personality.. I asked him if he would be in my wedding and he was so excited, he knew exactly what that meant!

We are having FHs nephew, he will be a little over 1 1/2 . But we really want him to do it, if he gets a little scared, we will prob have his mother or father crouch down and the end of the aisle so he will walk to them , I'm hoping that will work..

Re: RB age

my fmil swears they have to be 5 years older ( or older) to do this. - Apperantly she is a wedding expert and never told us till now

My son is only going to have just turned 2 years old the month before. Hopefully he will be able to do it... if not his grandpa will come back around and walk with him.

Mine will be 8 years old by the wedding but he is a monster!!! He is worse than the worst of the terrible 2's. I am sooo scared that he is going to act up. In the next few months I am going really think about having him at all. The only reason I am having him as a ring bearer is for my dad who idolizes him b/c he is the only child in the whole family.

I think if they are a mature 2, it will be really cute.

I was a floweer girl at 2 1/2 , and everyone tells me it was fine. My brother was 4 1/2 and the ring bearer, so it was easier b/c i walked down with him, but apparently I did veer off to the side when I saw people I knew.

My cousin was just 2, and he was not in the wedding. ( his sister was, so if he was older he probably would have been)
I guess the 6 months really matter at that age.

Mine is 4 and tells me ever day he's not going to walk down the aisle but he will hold the pillow.....so cute!!! At least he'll be walking with his sister who wll drag him if she has to.

2 will be OK depending on the child. Be prepared that he may not make it all the way down the aisle by himself!

Re: RB age

My nephew now is already running around the house, so I think he will be able to walk down the aisle. If not I was going to have him walk with my FG (FH's niece). They never met before because my nephew lives in Florida and my FG lives here. Hopefully it works out. They will look so cute together.
