Our church, St. Pat's in Huntington, is booked the day of our wedding.
We are having a really hard time finding a church that will agree to marry non-parishnor's (sp?) and is pretty, shallow, I know.
Can anyone recommend a church that will agree to marry non-parishnors? We live in Huntington, are getting married in Massapequa.
Help!

Re: RC Church help!
Def St. Rose of Lima. We go to church there but are not parishioners. They are sweet and a great church.

Re: RC Church help!
The church usually wants you to pick the church date before you book the place. Telling the people that you already have a place picked out and need that date will prob upset them. I know my church said that they marry someone that is non catholic (just one) but when my fh didn't make his confirmation they had a problem with it. Its strange. I went to my church St. Elizabeth in Melville. You can also try St. Matts in Dix Hills Another thing I would suggest you do is email them instead of calling. I know my priest answered me back within hours. Altho he wouldn't meet with me after 5 I met with the Deacon. Another suggestion would be to say your looking into becoming a member of the parish. In my job I have to deal with Churches everyday....Good Luck!
