There are so many retaraunts around there, but does anyone have any experiences or ideas? Thanks!

My extended family lives in Will Pk/Mineola area...
Riverbay is right down the block on Willis Ave (south)- my aunt and uncle go to it ALL the time! They love it... We had my cousin's communion party at Angelo's - it's a pizza parlor but they have a nice upstairs room - fits about 30 people... YUMMY food!!!
Also, there are a bunch of restauraunts on Jericho Tpk: Jonathan's (yummy steakhouse), Charlie Brown's Steakhouse, NHP Inn, etc...

What kind of food are you looking for? they have a family styl italian resturant thats great, the name is la parma.. there is also Matteos, mims (its like 5 min away)

umberto's in NHP has a nice upstairs room for a RD.

I don't think I'm adding much that hasn't been suggested on here but: La Parma River Bay Picolla Bussola Jonathon's Umberto's (personal favorite) Hunan Taste (Great Chinese restaurant on Northern) Hokkaido (great Japanese place on Willis)

La Parma is good for italian. I don't know what king of atmosphere you are looking for. Riverbay isn't bad either. Pomodorino is also in New Hyde Park or a New Place called Onyx (no idea what this one is like).

I work off WIllis Ave. and have eaten at many of the above suggested restaurants.
I love the RiverBay (they specialize in seafood) Da'Angelo's is very yummy for Italian.
La Parma Jonathan's Piccola Bussola (just ate their last ngiht for school holiday party... food was good)

Had my sister's shower at Amphora down the road on Willis Ave - great food!
