So FMIL wants to have the RD at her house. That would be all fine and well with me BUT they live in Bay Shore. The Church is in Bellmore. Now, I dont think it makes sense to have the RD in Bay Shore. I would say that 70% of the people are closest to Bellmore and then the other 30% are from Bay Shore. i dont think we should have the people that drove to bellmore drive even further out east to Bay Shore? Am I just over reacting? So, I wanted to ask if you guys can recommed reasonably priced restaurants in the Bellmore, Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa area for a RD.
Thanks!

Re: RD dilemma
DEFF try the Wantah Inn right near the Wantagh Train Station, on the same block as Mulcahys! Its a great restaurant and they have a private room perfect for a RD. Let me know if you need anymore details!!

LUCCA Italian restaraunt on Merrick Rd in Bellmore is great also.

Re: RD dilemma
If your MIL is willing to host it, IMHO I wouldn't argue. Its not THAT far.
My church is in Massapequa and the RD will be in Deer Park.
I'm just grateful that she's doing SOMETHING...Maybe she can't afford to do it at a restaurant?
Good Luck! I'm sure everyone will enjoy themselves no matter whereit is
I just went back and read the whole post...oops. I thought you wanted suggestions on how to deal with her...

Re: RD dilemma
We are having ours at the White Whale in Seaford. We wanted it to be very casual so everyone can mingle and they do a really nice buffet dinner. We are doing open bar as well and we got an amazing price, much cheaper than anywhere else we looked. It's pretty and right on the water.

Re: RD dilemma
I am also getting married at St Barnabas!!! We are having our RD at the wantagh inn in wantagh (we have a private room for a good price). Other places you can check out are piccolo's on sunrise highway in bellmore (that was our first choice but they were booked-its really close to the church) and you can also look into Viva Loca on merrick road in merrick, they have separate party rooms and its a fun place!
