RD gifts - possible issue

RD gifts - possible issue

So my RD is going to be small - just FH and I, my parents, his parents, his brother (best man), my sister (MOH), my niece (FG), BIL, and Fh's 4 grandparents (mine are either deceased or very ill). We have no bridesmaids / groomsmen - just a best man and MOH, and FG.

I realized last week that the grandparents would be the only people not getting gifts at the RD, so I went and got them frames from Walmart - I think they were $6 each but they are pretty 5x7s and I am going to make a little sign that will say 'To hold a picture of the bride and groom' and I will put that in there. I got one for my grandparents as well.

THEN TODAY I realized, crap, my BIL is now THE ONLY PERSON not getting something!!!!! He's not really involved in the wedding in any way - but I don't want him to feel left out. Should I get him something? I cannot spend a lot - maybe $25? What can I get someone for that much that isn't cheesy (can't be a groomsman-like gift since he isn't one)? I have talked to my sister about asking him to film part of our wedding since we do not have a videographer -- so I can check with her that he can do that and I guess give him a thank you for that ... does that make sense?

Does he grill -- you can get him a grilling set.
Or a gift card to his favorite store or local restaurant that him and your sister like to go to and include babysitting with it (and then your sister gets to enjoy his gift too!)

Oooh I love that idea!!! I could get them $25 to their fave place, it wouldn't pay for a ton but it would cover half or so ...

Or an iTunes gift card, he would like that. They are moving into his mom's house, trying to sell their home -- so I don't know if dinner out is in the cards, but iTunes he could use ...

If they are moving into his moms then dinner out my be a good idea. Gives them a chance to get out by themselves for a little bit and don't have to feel guilty spending a ton of money.

Itunes is good too.

If hes not 'involved involved' I think you have a lot more leeway with this one....you dont have to get him a traditional 'wedding party gift' - you know...the same ones we all get for our BP.

I dont know how old he is, but like mentioned before, a gift cert to a restuarant, or best buy, or a movie, etc. the list goes on and on...

You dont need to get him a money clip or a beer stein.
