RD Idea to Share

JUst wanted to pass along this idea....not sure exactly how it will work out, but....

FH and I want to get a bunch of pics of us 'through the years' from when we were babies up till now and have a little show with a slide projector at the RD...

Not sure about all the logistics yet...thinking we can probably rent a projector from somewhere....

I just thought it would be cute to share with those closest to us at the RD....

We did this at our engagement party and it was a huge hit - we had the whole room crying. I did it as a power point presentation on a white wall and played music to it.

I really am looking forward to this...I think it will be wonderful.

We went to a RD where all we did was eat and then it was over...I feel like the RD should be more involved and intimate...

we are thinking of doing this before the toasts at the reception...my only concern is making is look professional (ie timing and design and execution) even though we are doing it ourselves

i would definitly do it...its very easy to put together and it makes the rd or reception or e-party more homey and personal

would love to do that too but we are allready doing it for our reception so at the RD we are putting pictures of us that we have extra of from the photo montage in frames throughout the tables.

We went to a RD where they did this, it was sooo nice and so touching. THe same couple put together a slide show for us for our engagement party from the time we started dating until now (7 years, not a lifetime but still nice)....between that and the speeches, everyone was crying! I think it's an awesome idea.

I like it and never thought of doing it on my own- just thought of renting someone to do it with one of those big screens. Would you have to bring a laptop with you or something?
