Re: RD Places

Anyone ever heard of Sal's Place in Massapequa? One of the brides had asked the same question on a different thread and this was one of the suggestions?

Ummm would love but F'ing FMIL doesn't drive and it's too far...there's one in Seaford - but I don't think would be in budget...plus I don't think they have a 'party room'....I found a very reasonable place - Orlandos on middle country (25) in St. James - VERY good price for 4 course plus wine and soda included 32 aperson...but FH says too far - and it would only be fair to my family....

Then how is she getting to the wedding?

On her broom stick

Not for nothing, the RD is supposed to be close to the event ... he should have thrown that 'fair' card when you booked your venue!

Can she Valet the broomstick??

PS - how is it convenient to make everyone involved in the RD drive all the way to Flowerfield, then go all the way to Nassau, then come all the way back here for the hotel?? I think he is being unreasonable, regardless of the one on the broomstick!

So there really is no rehearsal - this is just FMIL's lame attempt to contribute b/c it's the grooms family's duty to pay for the RD and bride's family to pay for wedding (obviously we live in 1965) It's not traditional in Jewish familys to do rehersal dinners - but I lost that one marrying catholic!!!! To me I could care less - my parents are like lets just do a backyard bbq - ohh this is all what i wanted to tell you at G2G
