Is anyone inviting people that are NOT in the wedding party to the rehearsal dinner? Like Aunts/Uncles, etc?

I did. I invited Grandparents, my hairdresser (who is also a very close family friend), and another close family friend who is flying in from California.

Re: RD question.....
anyone else/ My FH & I aren't sure what to do with OOT guests, & whether they should be invited or not. I don't want them stuck in their hotel room with nothing to do.

You could always invite them to join you for drink afterwards if it is too much to include them at dinner. We went to a wedding in Cape Cod and the RD was around 7:00 and everyone was invited to join for drinks around 9:30. It was nice to be included, but don't feel you have to.

Re: RD question.....
yes... we invited my parents' closest friends (2 couples) and some of guests that were here for the wedding...they came all the way from Ireland and we wanted them at the RD, it also gave us the chance to meet people and for us to spend some time with them. DH also invited his cousin and wife who were unable to make it to the actual wedding. We did not invite all OOT guests, just the ones from Ireland.

Re: RD question.....
Thanks for the advice. My FMIL doesn't want us to invite any OOT guests, which I think is wrong b/c they're MY family. My FH & I are paying for the RD ourselves, & I refuse to have my grandparents & uncles sitting in their hotel room with nothing to do and nowhere to go while we're at the rehearsal dinner. But he says if I invite my uncles, he has to invite his (who live here, & the two that don't live here will be staying with his other uncle), all his first cousins, & then it will put the RD around 50pp, which is insane. Am I being unreasonable?
