RD question

Who gets invited to the RD?

I know:

bridal party + guests
parents
grandparents
FG/RB

Now do the parents of the FG and RB get invited?
Do the godparents get invited?
what about immediate family?

It depends on where you are doing it and when.

We're in a situation where if we don't invite all OOT guests, we're going to end up leaving some people who traveled a very long way high and dry... it's tough.

I suggest going through your lists and seeing where it makes sense to draw the line on the invite list, as well as how much it will cost and where you are doing it.

Ours is at the hotel at 7 pm the night before the wedding (which is the next morning at 11:30 am). We can't not invite the OOTers, especially FH's family and my mom's family who are from OOT.

Believe me, this has been a tough one to figure out. ::sigh::

We are freaking out about the RD. About 85% of our wedding guests are OOTers. If we invite every OOT guest to the RD, it's going to turn into a mini-wedding.

Hopefully, some of the guests are planning on arriving on Saturday morning for the wedding which is Saturday evening.

To top it off, FILs have offered to host the RD for us. Now here's the kicker, FMIL keeps asking FH how many people do we have to invite - she'd like to keep it under 30! Between the BP (4 guys, 3 girls - all of whom are married or in serious relationships), us, FILs, my parents (and half siblings) and the readers, we are already at 30 people! Yikes!

So I don't think we will be inviting any OOT guests to our RD unless FH and I pay for them ourselves.

I just sent an email to all my OOT guests to ask them to give me their flight arrival info. A few have emailed me about how to get from the airport to the hotel (see my mini-vent
from earlier today) so I'm trying to help them find cost-efficient ways if they can take cabs or even a shuttle together.

I'm going to use that info to determine whether to invite them to the RD too!

i think what you have is good and i think you should invite Fg and RB parents
