RD who to invite?

RD who to invite?

My FH thinks only bridal party.
I say it's OOT guests and BP.
Another question too, the Grooms parents are supposed to pay for this?
Both sides have family who are booking the night before the wedding, and that is when I want to do the RD.
I have family staying the night before who I want at the RD, is this being pushy?

This is a funny thing.. I think its the BP plus their guest and then any oot family, but I think it also depends on who is paying to decide on who gets invited. The grooms family traditionally pays for it, but that doesn't mean they are paying for it unless they say so so i'd get that cleared up before you decide on who is invited first just in case!

My sister invited her bridal party, OOT guests, and our aunts, uncles, and cousins. Since a few of her BMs and GMs were cousins, she had to invite their parents, and then ended up inviting all aunts and uncles so there were no hurt feelings!

Traditionally the groom's side pays, but like it was already mentioned, it's best to clear that up before you get a guest list ready for the RD.

WOW I think it is usually only BP and parents....OOT guests could really end up beaing $$$ but if you can manage that then thats great too.

We are inviting our immediate families, MOH, BM, & ring bearer, grandparents, readers, ushers & their guests.

We should have 25-30 people

I don't understand why OOT guests are invited ... I always thought that a RD was supposed to be just like an intimate get together right before the wedding only with people whoa re involved with the wedding.... IMO with so many people it ends up being mini wedding!

We have a huge bridal party (10 each) do I think we are just inviting our BP... without their guests.. I felt kind of bad about that but if everyone's guest comes then it will be 40 people right there and the our immediate families... and that is just way too many people.

I should clarify, the OOT'ers I would invite is my two brothers and their wives and,my grandmother. I have a Matron, and Man of Honor, FH has his best man. So BP is only 3 people.

i'll be doing bridal party and guests which includes my immediate family. Traditionally the groom's family pays for it but in our case it's not in their finances so we'll work something else out

i am pretty sure you are suppose to invite oot guests but with our bp and immediate family we are already at 50 ppl. We are both one out of five so the families are REALLY BIG. I feel bad night inviting oot guests but then it turns into having two weddings!!

Ours is just the BP , parents, and reader no guest because its already 25 people with just that and a 1200 bill. Traditionally the grooms parents pay but we are footing the bill for everything

not sure what it's 'supposed' to be, but for us, we're including family, all wedding party people and their spouses, and all out-of-town guests.

since the dinner is being held at the hotel, i think it would be awkward not to include all the out of town guests.

as for who pays... we're more traditional in the sense that my fiance's parents will be hosting the dinner. it was a little uncomfortable when we were running down the list of who should be invited and the number got so high, but thankfully it doesn't seem to be an issue (and if it is, i'm not aware).
