Every wedding party I was in the bm's paid for the entire shower. I do not think your mom is asking alot for help with the incidentals especially if there are 6. Part of being in a bp is being responsible for shower, dress, shoes, and bach party. If you are not up to the responsibility you should really think about what you are saying yes to.

$50 is not a terrible expense!! When I was a BM i had to chip in $300 for the bridal shower and our BM gift to the bride.

and I was going to college.

I didnt mind doing it because I loved my Sister in Law and I was happy to contribute.
