Hi, I have a question which maybe u guys can help me out with. I am getting married on a Sunday at Noon...so therefore I need to do my hair and makeup relatively early..and I know a lot of salons are closed on a Sunday and those that are open..don't open early. What are u guys doing? Does anyone know anyone that will come to the house and do makeup and hair for myself and 3 bridesmaids? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Allison

That's exactly what I'm doing. The girl who does my hair, is coming to my house about 8am. And will do my hair and my daughter's. Also the make-up artist. Then I'm getting dresed at the place.Just ask, they will come to your house!!

I am getting married on a Sunday as well. I am going to The Palace in Franklin Square, for my hair and makeup. They aren't a fancy salon but they do great work and best of all they are cheap. Give them a call 516.328.7237

Based on the referrals on the board, I just had a trial this weekend with Pauline, the bridal assistant for my make up and I just loved it!! I was starting to get nervous b/c I am getting married in five weeks I hadn``t found anyone who did it the way I wanted. I am not using her for hair(I am going to my regular salon)but I know she does do both. You have to go to her for a trial but she comes to you the day of. I don``t have her number at work but if you do a search under her name you should be able to find it.

Try Pauline like Valerie (I think) suggested. If she is unavailable, she will give you Elenas number to do it. I am using Elena. They stay with you until the first dance for touch ups and stuff which is GREAT!! Or, try a local salon and ask them since you have a few girls, would they open early? Some salons will if you have a few people getting done. Good Luck!!

Did you do a trial with Elena yet? Pauline is booked on my day also. I haven't done a trial with Elena as my wedding isn't until next year but I plan to. What did you think of Elena?

I have my trial with her in May. I had called Pauline and she gave me her name saying she brought her into the business. She was very nice on the phone and explained the process (we try all different hair styles and makeup) and take a picture so we have it on the day of. Trial is $45 I think she said and wedding day is $275.
