I'm sorry to hear about it. I had my wedding there in August 2002. It was such a great place, and the service was awesome.

I don't know??? All I know is that it was run by a family of senior citizens who wanted to give a wedding to brides who couldn't afford much in a nice place. I mean the place was so pretty and homey. At the time of our wedding we only paid $60.00 pp on a Saturday night. It worked out great because we got married on our 9 year Anniversary. Also that $60pp also incl. 5 hours of unlimited beer and top shelf liquor, wedding cake, centerpieces (which we didn't take, so they took money off), and a few other stuff. It's kind of sad that they closed... I guess we'll always have our wedding video!

FYI,
The Holbrook Country Club didn't close. The Holbrook Country CLub is owned by the town of Islip. The catering company that was sub-contracted out of the Holbrok CC was evicted by the town for not paying rent. Eventually there will be a new caterer operating out of the Holbrook CC. It is currently up for bid by other caterers.
The reason I know all of this is because my best friend was the girl who was in newsday and on News 12 last week. Thankfully, the Meadow Club stepped up and offered them their top of the line package while matching the price they had at the Hobrook CC. They saved their wedding!!
