So, are you changing, hyphenating, or keeping your last name?
I'm changing, because I am traditional, and I want to....... it would be torture to our future kids to make them have both names!!! ETA: I don't see anything wrong with hyphenating, it's just that his last name is difficult enough on its own!!!
I like my last name, and, FH's is some sort of Slavik (sp?) name, and hard to pronounce, but, I don't care.
His ex didn't change hers, because the first 5 letters of her first name and his last name are the same, and apparently she didn't like the way it sounded.

Im acually keeping my last name as is which is ex husbands last name because I want the same last name as my kids...however lately I have been thinking about hyphenating it so I can use both ..or which ever one is appropraite....How ever I have alot of blond moments so I would prob use the wrong last name at the wrong time!

I want to add his name to my name, but not hypenate it, so i would still have one last name, but keep my maiden name - like a middle name

Re: Re-post from BHB - Name Changing W/ POLL
My FH's BIL is getting married. His FW is Indian, and, in their tradition, I believe that they hyphenate???? not sure, anyway, they had a hard time figuring out what to do, they were thinking about taking both names and making one long name, and, her last name is at least 15 letters. They then decided that he would take her name! His dad had a problem with that, so, I think they decided to each keep their own name.
