One of my friends told me that after the wedding, we get a huge discount off of our registry - like 40%, is this true? (at certain places)

Re: re: Registry
I want to register at Pottery Barn and Fortunoff, maybe Crate and Barrel or Bed Bath but I did an online registery, started one and the stuff I wanted started to become discontinued already! I am going to wait till December/January before I start to register!

Most places are 10%! I've never heard of 40%

Re: re: Registry
We registered at Macy's and Bed and Bath. We are also going to register for things for our honeymoon through liberty travel. Pampered chef is also another idea.

Re: re: Registry
BB&B is great. I registered there, Macy's and Fortunoff. I was in the BB&B in Melville yesterday and was surprised to see that they had just gotten in the higher end china, crystal and flatware.
All of the stores don't have it yet...but 3 or 4 do. Also items can be ordered on line and shipped just like the rest of the stores.
we're registered at macys, fortunoff and crate & barrel. macys & fortunoff both give you back 5% of what gets bought off your registry in a gift card, which seems like a pretty good deal.

Re: re: Registry
So far we're registered at Macy's and BBB.
Registering at Macy's took a looong time and we didn't see much we liked. Also, their system was really irritating--it was easier to register online!
BBB was wonderful.
I'm thinking of Fortunoff's for china, but not really sure, since we live in North Carolina and a lot of FH's friends/family are from out of state.
We're also planning on registering at Lowe's so we can get some fun home improvement goods.
