Re: Re: Registry
I believe i registered for the Hooer Wind Tunnel , cyclonic upright Vacuum.
MY mom has it and i just love it, when i was living with her we had a very small basement apartment, so it was perfect for us. I don't know about larger areas, but most of the apartment was carpet, except kitchen area and bathroom and it worked fine :) That is why i am putting it on my registry.

Dyson. One of the ones with the ball. I'm not sure of the model number though.

Re: Re: Registry
I belong to Consumer Reports so I did hours worth of research as to which one would be best and not too expensive. Since Consumer Reports costs $ to be on and look at, let me hook you up with the highest rated vacuums: 1. Kenmore (Sears) Progressive with Direct Drive 35922 $300
2. Kenmore (Sears) Progressive with Direct Drive 36932 $350
3. Riccar SupraLite RSL3 $330
4. Electrolux Oxygen3 EL5035A $400
5. Eureka Boss Smart Vac 4870 $150
I got the #5 one since I actually ended up buying it myself and it was definitely the right price for such a high rating. It's a great vacuum but a bit heavy. Good luck!

Re: Re: Registry
we registered for the Dyson animal. I really hope it works. We currently have a Kenmore (the light green one) and it is awful. I've had it less than 2 years and we are on our third one... unfortunately they will only swap it out for a replacement so we keep getting another of the same and they keep breaking. first it started making this awful burning smell, then #2 lost suction, and we've only used #3 once so far which is probably why we arent on #4 yet...
I shed a large amount + we have 2 cats so we really need something that actually works. We registered for the Dyson at BBB so if it doesnt work at least we can get cash back and pick something else out there or somewhere else. I really hope it works!!!!!

we registered for the handheld one too! We currently have a dusterbuster but it doesn't do so well with cat litter and it isnt strong enough to get hair off of carpet very well. FH really wanted to get it so i said sure, scan it on! i hope we get it

My mom and sister are both in love with their electroluxes so I'll probably get one of those.

Re: Re: Registry
I checked consumer reports also. Dyson does not get good ratings. Go with a Sears Kenmore, althought I hear it doesn't hold up as well and you can't add that to your registry unless you're registering at sears.
I'm going for the Electrolux Oxygen. It was the top rated canister, I also have two cats. If you have stairs, thats a must. My cleaning lady prefers canisters for it's ease to get under furniture and high places.
I test drove it at fortunoff's, I loved it!
And ladies, Fortunoff takes BBB coupons as long as BBB carries the same product.

I want the Halo. It is an ultraviolet vacuum that can kill dust mites, bacteria, etc.(without chemicals) as well as vacuum.
