Would you want to know if someone went to a wedding at your future RH and wasn't happy with the service, or drinks, or food ?

Re: RE: RH ...would you want to know....
in all honesty i think EVERY SINGLE reception hall has had a bad night here or there...I heard a few bad things about my hall before our wedding and i knew the FANTASTIC reviews outweighed the few little negative things i heard people pass around. unless it's something that is getting redundant about something important (ie: your hearing from a LOT of people that the food was bad) then i wouldn't stress about it. everyone is human & makes mistakes(i know it's a 'wedding hall' but the staff are still people ya know?), and somebody somewhere will have something negative to say. Us girls have to remember why we picked our halls in the first place, create a good relationship with ur GM & MD, and cover all our bases...so that's the only reason i WOULD wanna know..so any issue i hear about I can bring to the attention of the person i'm working with. I think girls who get upset about criticism are being so silly...because it gives u the opportunity to take ALL that information & bring it ur rh's attention! Every hall tries their best to make sure ur day is fabulous..especially if u care enough to bring up issues u've heard of

i'd want to know... but at the same time, sometimes you have to take things with a grain of salt. some people ar ejust never happy and complain about everything. if people are telling you the food was disgusting over and over and over again, i might say, HMMM... potential problem. but if someone is whining because they forgot to give them an extra piece of cake, that's not something to get worked up over, KWIM????

I would want to know, but I don't know if it would make a difference. I would go by my own experiences.

Re: RE: RH ...would you want to know....
I heard from a few people that they had been to weddings at my hall and the food was horrible. But I heard from even more people that it was great! Well everything I had the night of my wedding was wonderful. So its a matter of taste and if it was an off night. And while I wanted to know if a previous bride had problems, I didn't need to know if random people I'd never met before liked the food. LOL dring our planning process like 4 random people asked where we were getting married and then proceded to give an opinion. I didn't even ask for one! One was a waitress at Vincents and another i remember was a random friend of a friend of DH's sister. LOL.
Anyway, its like tripadvisor- there will always be people who will never be happy, so long as you keep that in mind when listening to reviews and opinions I think its fine to see what peoples experiences were.
