My obnoxious vet said either AT 6 months, or after 7.5 months.

Re: ? Re: Spaying
Our kitten was neutered at 10 weeks. Its very common for puppies/kittens adopted from shelters to be spayed/neutered at that young age. Apparently it doesn't do any harm. So far so good with my kitten (who is now almost 2).
The youngest would be at about 3 months or so but the best time is at or around the 6 month mark. They say to do it before the female's first heat.

Re: ? Re: Spaying
we just had Golem neutered last month - he was almost 6 months old at the time. I've heard of some people waiting longer in order to build up more testosterone in their dogs..... but I think that is ridiculous, to be quite honest. Then again those are probably the same people who follow up with NEUTICALS!

Our kitten was spayed at 10 weeks when we got her from the shelter....They will not let you adopt them without them being fixed, but someone also mentioned that it stunts their growth getting them fixed that early.
