What is the 'proper' time to send out Thank you's. I went to 2 weddings in September, I got 1 Thank you the 2nd week of December and the other one....nada. Just curious what the proper time frame for Thank you cards is?

I have heard that brides have up to a YEAR to send out thank you's. I don't necessarily agree with that though. I think within 6 months is perfect but that's JMO. The last 2 weddings I went to, one bride sent her thank you's out 10 months later and the other was like 11 months later, almost a year.
For one of those weddings I mentioned, I went to the shower and NEVER even got a thank you. I was kind of annoyed. Now she is pregnant and her baby shower is coming up. It makes me think twice about how much to spend on her because she never even said thank you for the last shower she had.
