it depends - we only picked 2 -- then we realized we needed someone for the Prayer of the Faithful
so it depends on where your having your ceremony

I don't think anything... I have been a reader and didn't get a gift. If you do get something- a small gift I'm sure would be more than appreciated...

what is the Prayer of the Faithful? Im really bad at this.
Are you getting married at a church or RH? Im not sure outside of the Catholic church if the Prayer of the Faithful is done?
If your getting married at the RH - i know people sometimes have someone read a poem etc. (but not necessary).
Best thing to do if your unsure is check with your officiant![]()

I have no idea...
I'm not sure if we're getting anything for the readers... although I do think a bottle of wine is nice. We're having FH's coworker who is our age, so if we do give something, maybe a gift card to Best Buy or something else boyish for him... and for my mom's cousin (who is 60) I'd probably go with wine for her. Unless we end up doing the wine bottle wedding favors, which I'm working on... then I'd have to think of something else!

we have three readers and they are all guys - we got them small swiss army knives
i think we'll get each reader something they personally like. One reader is fh's uncle so i think i know what to get him, then the other is FH's aunt and its his mothers sister so im sure she can help us with something to get her, and next is my moms best friend who basically is closest to me besides my parents and grandmother who will be here, and im sure ill figure out what to get her.
Didn't really think about getting my readers gifts. I wanted to include my brother and SIL in the ceremony, so they'll be doing a reading. Maybe I'll give them a gift of a picture frame with a picture of us four after the wedding.
