Readers at your weddings...

Did you give them any gifts? How about the people bringing up the gifts?

We got everyone involved in the wedding something. For the people who read we found old pictures of us with them and had them framed. For example- our god mothers read the prayers and we found pictures from our baptisms and framed them. Our cousins each did a reading- we found pictures with them when we were kids and framed them. My male cousins did the music in our ceremony and I have them gift card to Starbucks. (I didn't think they'd appreciate the pictures). You don't need to spend a lot, but it's nice to give them something small to show them you appreciate their help.

I'm paying for the two female readers to get their hair done as a gift, but they wanted to get ready with everyone else that morning (they're family), so it's sort of the easy way out. The third reader is FH's cousin, and he's going to get him a little something, but he's not sure what yet.

In the past my friends have just given them a little something like a gift certificate for mani/pedi or to a restaurant.

I had only one reader. I gave her a crystal Givenchy necklace. I didn't have anyone bringing up gifts. I probably would have given them some small token though... if only to make them realize how important they are to me and how grateful I am that they are part of my life and my wedding.

We got some little things for the readers and gift givers who weren't already in the bridal party, like a frame with a wedding date on it and some mini lenox vases. (My reader and gift giver were females.)

Readers and Eucharistic ministers got a bottle of wine....

The people giving up the gifts were our godparents so we personalized the gifts a little more... my godmother loves Yankee candle so i got her a bunch of stuff from there.

our readers are going to be our sisters.. so we plan on getting them a gift... not sure what yet.. but i know they will get something since they aren't in the actual wedding...
