Reading Bookends right now...

...and I love it! I'm about 3/4 of the way through - will probably finish it over the weekend.

I am really enjoying it, although many events that have already occurred are kind of predictable.

I still have to get through the end though!

I finished it over the weekend - I loved it! Overall a great book. I didn't find it TOO depressing - it's just about life and all the good and bad that goes along with it

I'd highly recommend it

I just finished it, and I LOVED it! What a good, fast read!

I was SO afraid that the book would end with Si dying that I was almost afraid to finish it! I'm so glad the story ended on such an upbeat note.

As for the Portia/Ingrid thing... I don't think I buy it, but hey, it's fiction!

That's what I thought too - it ended on a sweet happy note, it wasn't depressing.

I thought the Portia/Ingrid thing worked - Portia never seemed completely content until then

I'm giving the book to my friend to read next!

You know what... I think you're right about Portia/Ingrid. I think I would have been happier if the relationship had been developed a little more, then it would have seemed more legit to me, if that makes sense.

no, that makes sense. We didn't find out about them til the end of the book, so it would have been more 'real' if she had more time to build the relationship up I guess. But I really thought Ingrid and Josh were together!
