There were a few new houses added to mlsli.com that I noticed this morning.

Hey Scott, Nesconset is not undesirable.
I think everyone needs to watch what they say otherwise feelings will be hurt!

Re: Real Fixer upper in North Babylon
Taxes really depend on the house - not always the area.
I've seen super low taxes in Northport/East Northport and Hauppauge (all due to LIPA and Hauppauge b/c of the industrial park)...and I've seen really low taxes in Huntington and San Remo as well. I wouldn't consider any of these places 'undesirable'.

I agree. Our new house will have very low taxes - lower than $6k - because it's 100+ years old. Usually, the older the house, the lower the taxes, unless it's on a lot of property of course, oh, and on the water!!! I know some people with zero property but they pay $12k because it's 'on' the water.

He is not saying anything is wrong with them just that many people do not want to live there. We have to all admit that some areas on the island are bad and have bad reps. It's just a fact. No one is trying to hurt anyone's feelings!!!

I know he is not, but it could make people feel bad (unintentionally, of course). Just a fact of life. No one wants to hear that where they live is undesirable, even if they know it themselves.

I didnt say that to make anyone feel bad....I was just trying to say that more towns have higher taxes because they have better schools and they are safer etc....

doesnt look worth the 300k since it needs work.
