im most likely using birdseed to throw. my mom said that it gets given out at the shower? lol is that true?

Hmmm, I have not heard of this every wedding I have been to has handed out whatever was being tossed at the church. Maybe this is just a tradition in your family

hmm... never heard of people doing it that way.
you can have baskets of your birdseed at the end of your aisle for people to take. maybe have some younger famly members can hand them out (i did that once when i was little).

I'm thinking that wouldn't be the best idea since the chances of people remembering to bring it probably aren't good...
are you having a DOC? If not, maybe a reliable friend or family member who isn't in the BP can hand it out to everyone before the ceremony.
Don't stress!! You still have plenty of time and your so much further ahead of the planning than I am!

Sorry, I don't think I ever heard that one. I think the usual way is to just have it in a basked and everyone can pick it up on the way out of the church. Or you can have someone pass it out after the ceremony.

I would think you would have to do it at church bc otherwise only a smaller portion of females would be going so . .. .

I've never heard of that. Usually there is a basket at the church and everyone just takes one. I can't imagine that people would remember to bring the birdseed the day of the wedding. I know I wouldn't and what would you do for the men and those that don't attend the shower?
