Really aggrivated( kind of long)

So I have 5 BM in my party and all are very close to me. My middle sister is 4 months pregnant so we wanted to get her measured now before she starts to gain weight. So I figure I might as well get all the girls measured this way it is done and I don't have to worry about it. I brought my BF to the place tonight to show her the dress and get measured. Now the dress I picked out I love b/c it is simple and elegant to me. I wanted a dress that is flattering and will look nice in pics. So as I show her she says. ' Oh I love it' then says it is a little 'old fashioned' ***!! I actually ignored it and now I am pissed. Here I thought I was being nice getting a dress that will look nice on everyone and won't break their pocket and I get a comment like that.

Here is a pic of the dress however it will be in Claret Red. Girls please give me your honest opinion and tell me if I am totally off and if it is 'old fashioned'. Last time I checked the Bridesmaids are not the center of attention. Sorry to vent

What's so old fashioned about it? They're crazy. I like it and I wouldn't have anything bad to say about it if I were in your wedding. People will always have something to say and you can't control that.
It's not their decision in the end, you have to be happy. Don't you remember how horrible some of those dresses were back in the 60's and 70's when our parents' got married... now that's something to complain about!!! whew!

You made the right decision, I made my decision based on the same principles. You have to realize not everyone is gonna smile the whole time and say great. Unfortunatley people have opinions. don't let her get you upset. It is a beautiful dress and will look great in red. 10 deep breaths. it'll be ok. But just in case

There is nothing old fashioned about it! SHes nuts. SHe probably thinks its old fashioned b/c its not strapless which is 'in' right now. I think its a very nice dress and the thought that you went thru to pick a dress is enough.
You arent going to make everyone happy, there is always at least 1 that will shine thru and be a killer of your decision. Try and ignore it
