Did your FH give you a reason why he didnt give a gift at his brothers wedding???

I would call them and tell them you just found out about this and that you are mortified ( i know I would be) and that you would like to make it up to them. Also, let them kow that you arent doing it because it is now your turn,,but becuase you truly are upset that a gift was not given by you or FH.

My honest opinion - I would just leave it alone and not acknowledge it. To me, if I were them, I would think you are saying that so they get you a gift for your wedding. I would just buy them a housewarming gift, and leave it at that.

Knowing how I am,,I wouldnt be able to sleep at night after finding out that we didnt give a gift..and it is not your fault, but you can mention it to them that you just found out what FH did and had you known earlier this would of been cleard up.

Just get them a gift certificate to Home Depot since they just got a house or Fortunoff for the amount you would of given at the wedding...

I have to say i agree with the gift to Home Depot!
I never realized what a GREAT gift this was until we moved into our condo!

I personally think i would be too embarrassed to bring up the fact that nothing was given for their wedding...

I would just be VEYR generous now.
Get a home Depot gc
and then get something cute like
wine glasses, martini glasses, bread dipping bowls and accesories

GC for a weekend at a Bed and Breakfast or tickets to the theater. I thin kyou should call and just be candid about it, I'm sure they will understand.

I agree...I would bring it up and say how sorry and you are because otherwise they'll think you're just 'being nice' to get gifts. They may be waiting for an explanation...I know I would!

Technically you have a year to give them a gift for their wedding. If I were you I would get them something very nice or even give them a check/gift certificate. It is pretty rude of your FI not to have given them something. JMHO

IMO, I would sit down and have an honest conversation with her explaining that you JUST found out because of your own wedding planning and that you really do feel terrible about it. If you feel comfortable about it, would you be willing to say that you don't expect anything from them because of the oversight? I don't know how that would play out but its an option...
