On the 16th of this month I had an emergency surgery on my left hand index finger. It had an infection in my joint. To make a very long story short...now I have 17 stitches and alot of swelling. My surgeon sad the swelling will be there for a while , he said it could be swollen like that until October. I am said cause I relly love those pics couples take with the showing of there wedding bands and I cant stand the way my hand looks. I hope the swelling will hopefully go down.

Don't listen to the doctors negative attitude! They are such pessamists! Plan on having your pics of your hand, and worse comes to worse that day, switch to your right hand, have your DH switch to the right hand and get the picture done anyway. Guaranteed no one will ask you if that's the right hand in your pics!!!

Take the pictures with the other hand, and have the photographer REVERSE the photo. Nobody will ever know (make sure yoiu both use the wrong hand)

Thanks ladies for all the positive thoughts. I really nedded that. It is looking better. The stitches ARE STILL IN. The wound isnt healing like it should be but i am hanging in there.
