Really Clumsy......

I got my shoes at Hazel's in Bayside on Bell Blvd. They were dyed silk with embroidery and a 1 and a quarter inch heel - I paid $99.00 I also got what they called Special Occasions slippers in a Lord and Taylor slipper department. They were Dearfoams, or one of the standard slipper brands and cost about $18.00. I didn't need to change into them, but I had them as back up at my reception in case my shoes started to hurt. I've also seen it suggested that you rough up the soles of your shoes with sandpaper so they are not too slick and slippery. Good Luck! Practice on stairs with whatever shoes you end up with.

I wore white cowboy boots

I'm sure it`s not for everyone, but I loved them. You couldn`t see them under my dress but when I lifted the dress to walk down from the altar everyone saw them and they were a huge hit with all my guests! And very very comfortable.

leather keds

I am going to wear leather keds (just like in father of the bride! :) ) I will decorate the outside of the shoe with lace and beads and quite frankly, no one is going to be able to see my feet cause the dress is so long. wear whatever you are comfortable in.
