we live in an old building so mildew in the bathroom is a problem! I use brillo and tilex to scrape it of the wall tile but it's always comes back in less than two weeks! And it's not just some mildew, it really bad and there is a lot of it! It even started to appear on the walls and the sealing! Is there a product that will desolve it better and make it easier to clean? Also, is there something that will prevent it from coming back so soon and so bad? Please, help! I feel like I am cleaning for nothing

Soft scrub with bleach and clorox clean up.. and after every shower use the shower spray..

Good old fashioned ammonia (diluted... 2 parts water, 1 part ammonia) works the best for me. I cant stand the smell of it, but I think it works better than anything else. Good for cleaning engagement rings too!

Try Simple Green. It's very strong, and if you use it full strength it should take it off quickly. You just let it soak on the tiles for a while and then rinse.
Do you have good ventilation in your bathroom? If the exhaust is clogged with dust then it's going to let the humidity build up and this problem will keep coming back. You can shop vac the exhaust and it will help a lot. If you have a widow in the bathroom, leave it open for a while after you shower....

Oooh, I second Simple Green! Great product...it comes in sprays, wipes. Works very well, imo.

ZOUT works GREAT!!!! You spray it let it set and it wipes away from the grout and every where. I got in BB&B

I've read that you need to use bleach and water. And while you're cleaning, even when you can't see it anymore, you need to clean it again.

a preventive measure, buy a squeege (sp?) and after each shower squeege the walls, and then spray clean showrr, should keep longer than 2 weeks

Any strong bleach product is great - I like soft scurb with bleach - Also, good ventilation is required to reduce mildew. Definitely dry the tiles after you take a shower - basically get rid of that moisture!
